This has immediately become one of my favorite places brunch in Tampa. All the food and the drinks were delicious and service was fantastic. There was even a live saxophone player for entertainment. The sticky bun and Shakshuka in particular were spectacular.
Awesome dinner experience! The ambiance was wonderful and lively with amazing service from the entire staff. There was always someone to pour water, clear dishes, and check on things. The food was innovative and delicious! There was something for everyone to choose from while providing global flair. I will definitely return if I visit Tampa in the future!
Tried this place for the first time Easter Sunday for brunch. Highly recommend reservations, it was pretty packed. Had a 1 pm reservation and were seated right at 1pm. We were a party of 8. Ordered several small plates, my favorites are the blue crab rangoon dip and pork belly tacos but everything was delicious. Service was spectacular, although super busy didn't wait long for food or drinks. There was a guitar player that enhanced the vibe and it was perfect music for brunch. For our meals we tried the filet, salmon BBQ bowl, Korean fried chicken and waffles, avocado toast, and chilaquiles. All very good. The lychee martini was also very tasty! For dessert highly recommend the butter cake. Will definitely be coming back on a Friday or Saturday evening for the live music and to try dinner!
On the evening of Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, my partner and I arrived after a long workday. The ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely flawless, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing evening. However, I must admit, the hostesses’ tone was a bit icy, which felt somewhat off-putting. Undeterred, we decided to sit at the bar, and we were so glad we did. Nicholas, the bartender, truly elevated our experience. From the moment we sat down, he introduced himself with warmth, instinctively knew my drink preferences, and even offered a handshake, a rare and thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression. The food was exquisite, each dish practically melting in our mouths. The atmosphere, complemented by perfect music, put us in an entirely relaxed state. We’ll definitely be returning for another wonderful evening with Nicholas.
Had an incredible meal at this spot—the lamb was unreal. Super tender, full of flavor. Amazing! The kombu-cured seabass was super clean and fresh, with just the right hit of umami and citrus. Light, but packed with flavor. Both dishes were seriously on point—elevated without trying too hard. Definitely worth the hype.
We had a very good dining experience. For starters we had the Union board (charcuterie). It consisted of 3 types of cheeses. 3 types cured meat, olives, almonds, crackers , cornichons and crackers. Very average. For our meals we ordered Gulf snapper, fired roasted shrimp - both were cooked to perfection and very well seasoned, and a side of veggie fried rice. Our server Garrett was very attentive and gave good recommendations. Decor was very contemporary and fresh. My only negative comment is that the music was a bit too loud. I would come back here again.
I recently visited this restaurant recently, and I must say the experience was impressive from start to finish. The interior ambiance was warm and inviting, with elegant decor and plenty of space across its two floors, giving it a grand yet comfortable feel. Service was exceptional — the staff was attentive, friendly, and well-informed about the menu. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. The blackened shrimp had just the right amount of spice, the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the cod was tender and flavorful. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, while the rich chocolate cake provided the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The cocktails were equally delightful, well-crafted and balanced. Valet parking was convenient and reasonably priced at 6, adding to the overall ease of the visit. If you’re looking for a spacious spot with great food, drinks, and service, this place is absolutely worth checking out.
I had an absolutely incredible experience at Union New American thanks to the standout talent of Sean, who was both the bartender and host of the night. From the moment I arrived, his energy and passion for mixology were magnetic—but what truly blew me away was the custom cocktail he crafted. It featured peaches and gin—two ingredients I wouldn’t normally pair together, especially since gin isn’t usually my go-to. But WOW. This drink was a total game changer: flavorful, smooth, and surprisingly easy to sip. It had such well-balanced notes—light, fresh, and delightfully layered—that by the end of the night, I had to order a second. Without question, it was the best drink on the menu. Sean didn’t just make a cocktail; he created an experience. I’ll absolutely be coming back—not just for another round of that amazing drink, but for Sean himself. He’s a true gem behind the bar and a huge part of what made the night unforgettable. Cheers to Union New American and to Sean for raising the bar—literally and figuratively.
